Microsoft Campus Agreement--All Departments Are Now Covered Effective July 1, 2012


•Departments Covered: All departments at Rice are now covered under the Campus Agreement. 


•Equipment Covered: Campus Software may be installed ONLY on a Rice-Owned machine used by faculty, staff, or within a lab. 


•Disclaimer: Installing campus software on personal or home machines used by faculty, staff, or students is strictly prohibited and a direct compliance violation under the Campus Agreement. 


•Campus Software Covered: Windows Pro or Enterprise for PC/Mac/VM. Office Professional 2010 for PC/Mac. 


•Campus Software Requests: The Campus Software may ONLY be requested for installation by an IT Divisional Representative. Please enter a request by calling the Help Desk or entering a help desk ticket.


 

Microsoft Home-Use/Personal-Use Software Agreement 

•Campus Software MAY NOT be installed on a personally-owned or home machine used by faculty or staff. 


•Home-Use/Personal Use Software: Faculty and Staff may purchase Windows and Office software from the RiceONTHEHUB site under academic pricing.


 

Microsoft Software for Students 

•Students using a Rice-Owned machine (purchased by faculty/staff) may request the Campus Software by calling the Help Desk or entering a help desk ticket. 


•Campus Software MAY NOT be installed on a personally owned machine of a student. 


•Home-Use/Personal Use Software: Students may purchase Office software from the RiceOnTheHub site.
