This section is for personal purchases for or by students.
These
computer specifications were created at the request of new Rice
parents. Additional information for new students is available in the
IT web site and in
IT Tutorials.
IT Procurement Office
The
IT Office of Procurement works with vendors to
negotiate educational site-licensing and discount agreements for the
purchase of technology items for the university. Many of these vendors
also offer discounts on personal purchases made by current faculty,
staff, and students.

Students are not required to bring a computer,
printer, or other technology devices to Rice. However, if you want to
purchase technology items, check out your Rice discount with the
Technology Marketplace vendors.
