Use the Technology Marketplace web site to browse for departmental
items before you purchase. You can also review IT recommendations and guidelines for departmental purchases. When you are ready to purchase, you can use your departmental Pcard through the vendor sites in Tech Marketplace.

These computer specifications were created at the request of new Rice parents. Although they apply to student computers, the specifications can be used as minimal requirements for departments as well. Contact your IT support staff to determine if the minimal requirements will meet the unique needs of the faculty and staff in your department.
IT Procurement Office
The IT Office of Procurement works with vendors to
negotiate educational site-licensing and discount agreements for the
purchase of technology items for the university.
